To better serve the rapid expansion of commercial construction in Georgia – primarily warehouse and distribution center developments, McGee (Kirk Anderson) became a licensed General Contractor in 2020 so that McGee may provide added value to our current customers and new companies looking to start up or expand their operations in our state. McGee provides consultation and recommend options for design-build projects, finish-out projects, operational efficiencies, in addition to our proven reputation as a specialty contractor, providing traditional and semi-automated material handling solutions.

Under current ownership, McGee has over 35 years’ experience with a strong scope of knowledge in the industry. We have encountered thousands of unique scenarios, while equipping distribution facilities with successful material handling solutions. As a licensed General Contractor, McGee is equipped to identify both opportunities and constraints, offering important options to consider during the design and build phases of new facilities and expansion projects.

We have a team of resources to execute your construction project from the design phase through construction. Whether it be a new build-out or renovation of a current structure, we would appreciate the opportunity to consult with you to determine your best path forward.

Preconstruction

McGee believes the preconstruction process is most vital to the success of any build project. In this phase, we walk our clients through the budgeting process, plan reviews, recommended design alternatives, project phasing and procurement alternatives to best address your scope and budget. The preconstruction phase allows us to refine options and more accurately cost and schedule evaluations to establish a construction plan for success.

Construction Management

McGee has the experience and expertise to manage several finish-out and expansion projects within commercial warehouses, distribution centers and manufacturing plants. Our clients have relied on us as a single point of contact, to oversee all aspects of industrial warehouse construction projects including, but not limited to storage rack solutions, product movement and conveying systems, safety and security finishes, interior office buildouts, mezzanines, guard shacks and overhead cranes. Construction management services include planning, engineered drawings and submittals, project management and oversight, subcontract coordination, phased tracking, safety and quality control through project completion and turnover.

Design Build

At McGee we pride ourselves on creating value added solutions using decades of material handling and industrial space planning experience. Oftentimes, we earn our customers trust and business by consulting, designing, and recommending at least one alternative solution that may accomplish the task(s) and decision criteria at a greater value proposition. Our primary role is to recommend and implement a solution that both meets your project requirements and maintains your satisfaction as a customer testimonial.
